Cesspit Emptying

Cesspit Emptying — Same-Week Service Across the Region

Cesspits are sealed underground tanks that collect everything that leaves the house. They have no outflow, so they fill up and need emptying — typically every 4–8 weeks for a regular household. We empty cesspits across the region on a scheduled or one-off basis, and we'll be there the week you call.

What we do

Cesspits are sealed underground tanks that collect everything that leaves the house. They have no outflow, so they fill up and need emptying — typically every 4–8 weeks for a regular household. We empty cesspits across the region on a scheduled or one-off basis, and we'll be there the week you call.

Who it's for

Off-mains households, holiday lets, equestrian properties, and any premises with a fully sealed cesspit (rather than a septic tank or treatment plant).

Pricing

From £180 for tanks up to 4,500L (subject to distance and disposal route).

FAQ

FAQs — Cesspit Emptying

How often should a cesspit be emptied?

It depends on tank size and household. A 4,500-litre cesspit serving a typical 4-person household needs emptying every 4 to 8 weeks. Smaller tanks and bigger households need more frequent visits. We can set a recurring schedule once we know your numbers.

What size is my cesspit?

Most domestic cesspits are 4,500 to 18,000 litres (1,000–4,000 gallons). If you're not sure, we can measure on the first visit and let you know exactly. The schedule we recommend afterwards is based on the real number, not a guess.

What's the difference between a cesspit and a septic tank?

A cesspit is a sealed underground holding tank — nothing leaves it, so it has to be emptied regularly. A septic tank separates solids from liquids and discharges treated effluent to a soakaway, so it only needs emptying every 6 to 12 months. We do both.

Can you empty my cesspit if access is awkward?

Usually yes. Our standard tanker reaches up to about 30 metres from a hard standing. We have longer hose runs and a smaller tanker for tight access — gravel drives, narrow gates, restricted lanes. Send us a photo on WhatsApp before you book and we'll confirm.

How quickly can you get to me?

Most non-emergency jobs across our coverage area are scheduled within the same week. Emergency callouts (overflowing tank, blocked drain, sewage backing up) are usually same-day — WhatsApp us and we'll route the nearest tanker to you.

Do you charge a callout fee?

No. The price we quote on the phone or WhatsApp is the price you pay, all in. We don't add hidden callout, fuel, or disposal charges after the job.
